Description
This bayonet was very popular even for the germans that took them with the rifle and reissued them with new markings. This example is very good indeed – It have not been grinded so i think the war was over before this one came to the front.
The brass handle is so good looking and the blade have very small errors this hold a museum standard. The scabbard is in very good standard some small old spots but not any buckles or damages.
In a scale to 10 this hold a 7
On the spine of the bayonet we can read that it was made in Manufacture Impériale de Chatelleraut 1870
Length of the blade: 57 cm total length with scabbard: 72 cm
In WWI troops behind the front still had this rifle and bayonet.
I must say it´s some North African style over it and good handcraft.
