Description
A fantastic story that the Jews was using German weapons to defend themselves when Great Britain left Israel and Palestine. Very rare!
It have been used both in the WWII and in IDF. I came over it in Norway when I bought some bayonets and I saw a couple of David stars and the odd muzzle ring.
Good condition
The total length with scabbard is: 40,6 cm
Blade length. 24, 6 cm
The muzzle ring inner diameter: 1,7 cm
The grip is Wa – stamped and Israel stamped
This is living history that it first served the german forces and then Israel after the war. That was more rifles then bayonets so Israel started their own production after the first batch of 1000 bayonets. The converted the caliber from 7,92 to 7,62.
Bakelite grip and I have seen so many numbers and contra numbers + symbols and when I thought I have found everyone I see one more.
