VERY RARE
15.000 Norwegians that had fled to Sweden during the occupation of Norway was trained in Sweden. The where not supposed to fight any battles accept the 1.300 that was sent to liberate Finnmark in 1 of January. The Norwegian soldiers was very well trained and armed and with cars and horses took them from the North of Sweden into Norway.
The Norwegian soldiers clearad mines and did a lot of work. In an mine explosion 22 of them was killed.
The medal is named Oddvar Johansen that was in the Second battalion in this force.
The famous silverdesigner J. Tostrup made this in 830 silver stamped on the backside Many can think that this was something that was Pro Nazi because of the death skull in the lower part.
