This attractive four-place ribbon bar carries genuine pre-1945 ribbons for fourmedals: The Iron Cross 2nd Class (1939), the war merit cross, the Ostfront Medal and the increasingly hard-to-find ribbon for the Romanian Crusade Against Communism medal. The wearer of this ribbon would have been with Army Group South during the ” Operation Barbarossa ” campaign, most likely in the Crimea with the von Manstein and his 11th Army (my father’s command).
