THE BATTLE OF STIRLING BRIDGE – OIL PAINTING 1630 – 1650 OF SIMON JOHANNES VAN DOUW

The battle of Stirling bridge is a epic battle between The English against the Scottish in Scotland.

Simon Van De Douw was a Flemish painter and draughtsman.

The battle was won by the Scottish with a strength of 5300 to 6300 men and of them 300 in the cavalry. The English had 9000 men, 2000 cavalry and 6000 in the infantry.rst I had the Italian name Burontti and then after asking a an expert it was Simon Johannes Van Douw so it´s a detective work to find out the real story.
