Description
This gas mask canister is 25 cm and it contains everything even the extra “fog” glasses in the container inside the lid. It´s named STRUCKLE A. Name of the owner. I have seen this short canister in Luftschutz and for dispatch riders on motorbike hanging on the chest.It was a couple of years in production but later the long came that have the same look but longer.
This one was to motorcycle rider – I bought it from the soldier that had it until the end of the war and just wnet home and escaped from beeing set in a POW camp and hide everything
There are so many manufactures involved so I took many close up pictures so you can see for your self in all respect.
The gasmask have number 2 in size and belong to the short canister 1936 – 1938.
Many stamps as you can see on the pictures and the white polishing cloth is still with under the wire system in the bottom.
The gas mask is near mint and the canister have some small dents but the green color is clear – rather dark.
This is more rare then the longer one that was made in millions.
