This is living history: Ray “Pete” Piper that was a young guy from San Francisco in California USA took this anas a souvenir from a POW in the Pacific islands. I have his uniform and other stuff and even the book he wrote. “The forgotten battalion”.

The year was ca 1942 and he was in almost every island battles that took place. This is very important that the history of how this ammo pouch came to USA and later on to Sweden.

The ammo pouch are used but in good condition and the soldier from Japan had used it maybe for several years. We don´t know.
