BEEMAN CHEWING GUM THAT MOST OF THE AIRCREW IN USAF USED DURING WWI – USA

10 $

Category: Food Tag: GUM for US aircrew
  • Description

Description

Beemans Gum was invented in the late 19th century, and contained pepsin.  Beemans Gum was the “lucky
gum of pilots and was popular with aviators due to the antacid qualities of pepsin, useful for motion sickness.  The antacid qualities, combined with the ear pressure equalization of chewing any gum, made Beemans a common sight in cockpits.
