Description
A wonderful battle field “dig up” from a RIP as i was and the frog & the scabbard had a lot of rust but when I took out the blade it was like new.
Sweden gave their brother country aprox. 100.000 Mauser m/96 with bayonet among other objects.
This was some that had used a Finnish frog to wear the bayonet and it have taken some years of to make the leather like frog to be used again. It have some damage at the closing but everything is strange to found a Swedish mauser bayonet with a Finnish frog and the blade in perfect condition in a broken down “Korsu” – a dugout. This was the only thing left there. after so many years.
Swedish steel still in perfect condition, it have been sharped for close combat a couple of times.
The belt loopings are missing
