Description
This is the typical holster that was called hard shell . It was made of leather that was very stiff to protect the pistol. This holster have been with the soldier or officer for maybe a couple of years from 1941.I can see that the stamp P08 have been “brushed” on this particular side and the flap strap have been replaced with a new rivet.
But the leather is very good so I think it must have been an officer that had it because it have no other scratches from a hard combat life. It have an ink stam inside the flap 118. And the code letter for the fabric that made this in 1941 that was Königs u. Bismarchhutte AG – werk Falvahütte.
Germany came never up to the goal of making pistol even with the Kriegeserbute. So it was a shortage of pistols in the German weapon arsenal.
I will give this holster a 7 of 10 10 it because it have been used but not any scratches and the black color is still good.
